  Concierge Medical Services | Q Memberships Concierge Medical Services 1. Round-the-clock Availability At Q, we believe you should be able to reach your care provider whenever you want to. Your Q Physician will be available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, via cell phone, pager, or electronic mail, depending on the nature of the call. Access also includes collect calls to Q should you urgently need your physician when far from home. 2. Home and Office Visits We at Q feel that our member-patients deserve to be pampered when unwell. We will make house calls for most visits, and in many cases, offer treatment to you in the comfort and privacy of your own home or office. In foul weather such as blizzards and rainstorms, your personal physician will have available the use of specially-equipped vehicles to ensure timely and effective visits, reducing safety risks to you when already feeling “under the weather." Furthermore, via our on-site visits, contact with other sick patients is effectively avoided. 3. Same Day Appointments Waiting for days, weeks, or even months for a doctor’s appointment is almost accepted in today’s society. Not at Q. We believe you should have the option of seeing a physician the same day. After corresponding with your personal physician, you will be given the choice of being seen the same day, or whatever day best suits your schedule. Naturally, in acute emergencies, you shall be seen urgently on a priority basis. 4. Unhurried Visits Q believes that rushing through a doctor’s visit can result in sub-optimal care. Whereas the standard practice of today rushes volumes of patients through clinic to maximize revenues, Q physicians are able to spend unhurried, quality time with each member-patient. This is possible due to the smaller number of patients taken care of by our unique practice model. The result is obvious – more peace of mind for our member-patients. 5. All-Physician Care Q feels that although help from nurses, patient advocates, and physician assistants can be beneficial, the health needs of member-patients are best served directly by private physicians. Consultations are with physicians every time, a promise Q is proud of. Even basic tasks like vital signs are considered extremely important, and are personally taken by your Q physician during each visit. 6. Specialist Liaison Services At various times during your care, the guidance and expertise of specialists may be mandated. With your input, Q Concierge Physicians will select the appropriate specialist as it pertains to your clinical need. We will not only personally discuss your case with the specialist, but will schedule your appointments, coordinate care, and if you so wish, even accompany you to your specialist appointments. And because you will be a Q member-patient, these services will be expedited for your benefit, so you can return to enjoying life as soon as possible. 7. Expedited Emergency Care and Coordination Should a trip to the Emergency Room become necessary, Q will facilitate the process by relaying your urgent medical condition to the appropriate hospital parties, including emergency room staff, and specialists if needed. Until stabilized, your physician will provide family support, relay continual updates, and help to explain various medical options. If several specialists or procedures are involved, your trusted Q physician will also play a central role in coordination and explanation of acute medical care. With Q Concierge Physicians active support, you will always be abreast of your latest health-related developments, understanding what is happening and why. 8. Increased Level of Follow-up Care Following an Emergency Room visit, your health status will be monitored more closely than usual, whether admitted to the hospital, or discharged to home. During hospital stays, one may be visited by up to 15 health care workers a day. Your familiar personal physician will visit you daily, ensuring that your hospital needs are being met to your satisfaction. At these visits, an update will be gathered from your caretaking medical team, with your Q physician arranging conferences at the hospital if necessary. After your discharge, you will be visited more often to ensure post-discharge stability, and appropriate titration of any new medications. With your Q concierge physician looking after you, any hospital or post-discharge anxiety is effectively minimized. 9. Prescription Services Inclement weather, necessary bed rest, or having advanced medical conditions can sometimes make it difficult to obtain your prescription medications even locally. Q also offers a local prescription delivery service if you are unable to gain access to your pharmacy due to unforeseen and difficult circumstances. Your medicines can be delivered to your home or place of work within hours of placing the request. Like most other practices, we also employ a remote prescription call-in service, so you can pick up your needed medications directly at any local pharmacy of choice. |
